Mas Guru Heriford instructs military, security, and law enforcement.  Members of these special communities are among the few who are permitted to learn the Blade Science System without first receiving training in the Impact Weapon and Empty Hand curriculum. 

The Blade Science System of Executive Edge Combatives is the culmination of over 20 years of research and centuries of battle-tested knowledge. From the basic to the advanced material, you will gain an extensive understanding of: 

• Lethal and non-lethal targets, 
• Situation appropriate methods of attack, 
• Results of the application from a use-of-force perspective, 
• Proper deployment along ideal force vectors, 
• Economy of body mechanics suitable for movement in full kit,
• And, battlefield positioning drills that set EEC apart from all other edged weapons and counter-edged weapons systems.  

Our intent is that you leave our training with usable skills; therefore, you will be immersed in the core drills of our system. Eventually, you'll learn to link the drills and all their auxiliary parts together; this results in your developing the speed, timing, power, accuracy, positioning and flow that EEC is known for.

You will also have the opportunity to earn instructor/trainer certification, should you wish to share the skills you learn with other members of your team. Certifications for Impact Weapons and Empty Hand components are also available.

If you desire personal training or if your unit or department would like to arrange an onsite group training course, it is recommended that you call to speak with a representative so we can discuss your desired training objectives in order to maximize your training time with us.

If you are not a licensed law enforcement professional or active duty military personnel, but you believe you have a legitimate reason to train in the Blade Science System, you are invited to complete an application for training. However, you will be subject to an extensive background check and an interview session before you can be considered for participation in the Blade Science training modules.
